This policy explains what information Seabay uses to run the marketplace, where it goes, and the choices you have. It covers this website; features in the iOS app may also use device permissions you choose to enable.
Information you provide
We use information you submit, such as your email and account details, display name, seller type, and location; boat listings, photos, and optional video links; messages; saved searches and favorites; and requests or reports you send to Support or moderation. We use it to provide your account and marketplace features, communicate with you, prevent abuse, and respond to requests.
Information collected when you use the site
The site stores essential session information so sign-in and account features work. We also use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand page visits and site performance. These tools may process page or referrer information, browser and device characteristics, performance measurements, and approximate location derived from network information. They are used for aggregate product and reliability insights, not advertising profiles.
If you use search by city or the map, the site sends the location query needed for that feature to its geocoding or map-tile providers. The website does not need precise device location to show the boat catalog.
Service providers
We use service providers to host the site and account data, store listing images, measure site performance, provide map tiles and city search, and deliver optional video content. They process information on our behalf or as described in their own privacy terms. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party behavioral advertising.
Public and private information
Published listings, listing photos, seller display name, seller type, and seller-provided location are visible to visitors. Your email address, phone number, private messages, saved searches, and account credentials are not displayed on public seller pages. Do not put contact or sensitive information in a public listing unless you want visitors to see it.
Retention and your choices
We keep information while needed to provide the service, maintain safety and transaction records, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can edit your profile and manage your listings from your account. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of account information, contact Support. We may retain some information where the law permits or requires it.
Security and children
We use access controls and service-provider safeguards designed to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. The marketplace is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
