GOOD TO KNOW
A few things
before you cast off.
What does it cost?
Listings are free while we’re in beta. Seabay doesn’t handle the payment or take a cut of the sale. Buyers and sellers agree on the details and settle directly.
Who can sell on Seabay?
Private owners and brokers in the US. List a single boat from scratch, or import multiple listings with a Boats.com inventory search URL.
When will my listing go live?
Submit when you’re ready. A person reviews every listing before it appears on the web and in the app, usually within 24 to 48 hours. Imported boats start as drafts unless you choose to auto-submit ready listings for review.
How do messages work?
Sign in and message a seller directly from their listing. Continue the conversation in your Seabay Inbox to ask questions and arrange a viewing.
What should I check before buying?
Meet the seller, inspect the boat, and ask for the title and maintenance records. Agree on payment directly once you’re satisfied. Never wire a deposit for a boat you haven’t seen.
